Arch Every time I read "Pompey boss Paul Hart" a voice in my head whispers "relegation".

I know what you mean - but really, after selling off all their best players (for £80m) in the last year or so there'd have to be 3 worse teams than them in the League for Portsmouth to stay up.... wouldn't you agree?

That's the way relegation tends to work, yeah! They were fortunate to turn around their slump after the Tony Adams debacle, but not sure if they'll be so lucky this year. I can't see Hunt (please go) or McCormack changing that. Who else do they have up front? Nugent? Pff..

God I am so bored of this. It's like Nicky Shorey all over again but with more hair and less talent. Go. For the love of god GO!

Chronicle has us going for a swap deal for Nugent, will be willing to take the cut in wages?

Would he be anymore likely to get a game here?

Yeah, Nugent is very similar to Doyle and a proven Championship goalscorer. It really is just speculation by the Chronicle though, isn't it?

It might ony be speculation but they do try to add some weight to it by saying that Hammond watched Nugent in the last two friendlies that Pompey played and left after he was subbed in one of them.

I would be over-the-moon if this happened.

I wonder how many extra season tickets we would sell if BR signed Nugent in the next week or so?

I'd say around -10,000 as seeming as everyone loves Stephen Hunt.

FWIW, in my dream last night, David Nugent was our main striker for the Newcastle away game - I was quite pleased with that signing.

If we could get Nugent plus some cash for SHunt, it would be an absolute steal!

I know I have mentioned him before but I wonder if it is Richard Hughes as a makeweight in a deal for Hunt?

To be honest, I'd take the straight swap.
