If it's on Talksport it must be in a paper somewhere today.

He said on Twitter recently that he hopes to still be here next season so I guess the ball is now in the club's court.

According to Hunt we have only offered him a 1 year deal. But hes looking for more security. Guessing our idea might be to get an instant return but then to let Hunt go. He probably knows this.

Why on earth would a passing and technique based team want a forward like Hunt? makes no sense. The Hunt style of play has Millwall written all over.

I just worry that losing Hunt means we have to buy almost an entirely new strike force rather than just one or two strikers. If we keep ALF and Pog then that's fine (incidently I think they could make terrifying Chump partnership getting 30+ goals between them easily), we only need one back up striker with Blackman here. Or bring in Samuel / another youth player. But if one or maybe even both ALF and Pog go, as well as Roberts, Church and Hunt, then we're left with Blackman. Yay.

agreed-should be keeping him. he gets a few goals, sets a few up, works hard, is willing to do jobs for the team, and wont mind not being 1st choice.
imo hes perfect for our championship push

We may not be having Samuel much longer as a host of clubs have been rumoured to be interested him. Considered a rough diamond

Nigel seems to like him, a few more performances like of late and he may get his wish to stay.

Let him go.
If we want to rebuild we don't need to keep a 30 something, particularly average striker who has had a poor injury record and isn't good for much more than running around a bit - even though he does have a great spring in his jump!

Hope we keep Hunt. Mr Reading FC. Proven Championship striker as well.
