From Despair To Where? I assumed John Smith was a trolling account by the way he spouts very obvious bollocks then starts insulting people.

I am not trolling. If you can't take my side of the argument then that's not my problem, all I'm saying is there's a select few on here who overate Tshibola when we have full internationals on the pitch and bench who are better. Namely Danny Williams, our best player.

And as if you aren't on here insulting people and spouting bollocks yourself.

There is much validity in your opinion of Tshibola, it's the majority of the rest of your contributions I was referring to. To be honest, I only tend to insult trolls. If someone can engage in intelligent and reasoned discussion, I have no need to insult them.

As for spouting bollocks myself on occasion, guilty as charged, along with everybody else.

Stoke outcast Steve Sidwell is a target for two of his old clubs - Fulham and Reading.

Only if Andy Hughes is unavailable.

The quality of pointing, side ways passing, and applauding of fans when substituted has been woefully poor since he left.

No, no, no really don't need him with our midfield options.

I'm expecting this season to be written off so really we should be persisting with Toshiba, Cooper and Bond in the team and perhaps also introduce Samuel into the side so options are well clear for next season. Also it should give Bond the chance to prove if he has what it takes.

Why write the season off?

Just need a run of 4/5 wins and we are back in the mix, if there is one quality B Mcd's sides have always had, it is the ability to go on a run at some stage during the season.

Even in the Prem there was a good spell in and around January/February.

If anything, a couple of experienced players in the squad could work out very nicely.

But Sidwell isn't a player to improve us significantly or win games. We have far bigger weaknesses than midfield.

I disagree with you Ian Royal, he may not be that player to do things that are a bit outside of the box, but every succesful team has their cogs in midfield that make the team tick and keep the ball flowing across the park. We have wingers who are good enough and there have been recent signs of HRK and G Mc returning to form.

Sidwell is the master of working hard to get the ball back and effectively playing simple 10 yard passes and even at 33/34 years of age he would contribute greatly to the team. If we assume Alex F is going to be out of the picture. Sidwell, Williams, Norwood and Tshibola would work very nicely especially as a midfield 3 with Norwood in a free role behind the striker. Between the 4 of those players, our central midfield would be looking very strong not to mention that you have the opportunity to put Piazon in that free role too if required.

Who better to help develop Tsibola than one of the players who made his name at our club was a part of the 106 side and has gone on to enjoy a very succesful career in the PL

I'd prefer Williams, Quinn and Tishibola all over Sidwell. When we've got one specialist right back, two mediocre goalkeepers, a string of out of form or inexperienced forwards and no really reliable left wingers, the last thing I'd be doing is buying back up for the back up for midfield.

We should re-sign Sidwell just to play him alongside Fernandez and Quinn.

In all seriousness, I don't think we should waste any money on another central midfielder.

Tshibola and Kuhl both have good chances to be better players than Sidwell was at his best, and they already can't get in the team.

Was the best player on the park before he got injured against Brentford.
