Royal_jimmy My top 3 realistic choices in order of preference. All 3 would be suited to the role based on their success in building a team from scratch.
1. Chris Wilder
2. Richie Wellens
3. Nathan Jones

AthleticoSpizz As already posted elsewhere…Huddersfield are looking for a Chris Wilder too…..and yes, Wednesday would be a decent opportunity for him too.

If it’s to be an untried, first job manager, then the only one I’d consider is John O’Shea (who has reportedly just left his position at Stoke so……??)
Looking forward then to Rio Ave’s current manager taking up the reins as early as mid July.

YorkshireRoyal99 Hutchinson reminds me of that sort of player, it's a shame we haven't had him on the pitch much after that point.
I think McShane started losing his place after giving 2 penalties away at Blackburn, although that may have been just under Clement rather than any managers that followed.

Very much doubt he'd go to Wednesday with the Sheff Utd connection.

blythspartan Love him or hate him, I really admire the way Darren Ferguson try’s to get Posh to play football. I would settle for that at the SCL compared to the utter garbage served up in recent years.
I have never really followed his career but he doesn’t seem to be able to hack it in the Championship, but not sure if that’s because he’s never been at a club which has been able to give him the financial backing.
Anyway, for League One he’d be a good choice.

Have you seen his managerial record? Not too shabby. 6 promotions in 8 years. Very much a rising star in Portugal.

And this analysis likens his style to Chris Wilder's at Sheffield Utd.

I'm all aboard the Luis Freire train.
