SouthDownsRoyal
Brum Royal Couple of Knibbs rumours on Twitter/X. First is more believable, second seems like utter tripe.

3 days ago:
TC9 @transfercentre9
Norwich City have made an offer of around £1m for Reading forward Harvey Knibbs.

The former Villa man got 20 G/A last season in League One from 43 games.

He is set to be offered a four year contract which is keen to sign,

Deal could be announced soon.

Yesterday:
The Secret Transfer Agent @secret_transfer
HOT OFF THE PRESS: Oxford United have had a 250k bid for Reading talisman, Harvey Knibbs, accepted.

I've been told that the forward is keen on a move from the Royals and is excited by the project under Gary Rowett.

Medical tomorrow.

Knibbs is joining Charlton

Yes he’s joining them for nearer £2.5m from the rumours in the media so the secret transfer agent is obviously a clueless pile of made up stink - but then it is on tw@tter.

Knibbs move to Charlton has been delayed owing to backroom staff changes at Charlton. Probably should complete next week.

New interview with Noel dropped today, he says he hasn't spoken to Knibbs about it yet, but he's still a Reading player. If he's right mentally, sounds like there's a chance he could be involved at Lincoln.

IMO and from snippets I've heard, his mind left us some time back. I suspect he/his agent will decide that he doesn't want to play on Saturday.

Sounds like he hasn't agreed personal terms given a fee had been agreed.

Hunt must be a chairman's dream - his interviews sound plausible, but you come away none the wiser....

I've listened three times and whilst it seems that there's an issue, possibly from the Knibbs side?...

He is stilll 'one of us', so may be available for Lincoln, I couldn't guarantee that's what he meant or really understand it...

Also, didn't like it when Hunt said he's off to a 'bigger club'.... higher division maybe, but careful Noel with who you call bigger between us and Charlton....

They have actually won something that mattered that's why they get called bigger by some people. Their recent decades of drabness have probably dissipated their fanbase though and they are probably about the same sort of size of Reading now. Certainly don't get the "it's Charlton!" adulation now that they used to get when Reading got to play them on the odd occasion in the 70s or 80s.

Personally thought it was an excellent and transparent interview.
Two days before the first game of the season he is not going to be shouting his mouth off with negativity. And tbh, it really is no one else's business what the details of the potential Knibbs move to Charlton are until its all sorted one way or another.
Can read enough between the lines to sense his frustration that we are not yet ready to go and smash it as we are clearly light (not giving out the usual tropes about we are ready to go and new editions would be "nice")
Nice to hear someone from the club talking without all of the razzamatazz bullshit.

Could it be a failed medical? Knibbs has played no part in any PSF's and Hunt said something after one of the games about a knee injury affecting him sustained at the end of last season.

The reason is still likely to be the obvious, Charlton senior management are apparently playing musical chairs as their CEO has left his role and this has slowed / delayed some of their football operations and thrown the negotiations up in the air. Not as much fun as saying Knibbs has failed a medical or hasn’t agreed terms of course but most likely to be the reason for his signing not yet being confirmed.

Hope I’m wrong, but sadly it won’t mean he plays at Lincoln (risk of injury etc.), so the sooner he goes and we get the cash the better.

The "official" line from Hunt seems to be that CAFC have pulled the deal. Now that could be more of a delay as you say and they are just managing the message out but I do not imagine we'll see him an Lincoln given his lack of any playing time this summer.

And Knibbs has a host of Championship clubs after him apparently (Portsmouth, Norwich etc.) so even if Charlton are now out of it I can’t see being long until the next one steps up.

Ideal world would be he realises his mistake and signs a new contract…..

Signed a four-year deal with Charlton for a significant seven-figure fee thought to be around £2m

Really liked him, but that's amazing business with one year left on his contract and signed on a free.
