Not sure on this - I can't see that at this time McD would do anything other than try to squash th rumour, we're over a month away from the transfer window, if something is on the cards he's not going to want to flag it up to other clubs.
Hard to tell from a radio interview, but what I found strange was that he didn't laugh Dellor out of the room immediately, took some pressure from Dellor to get him to actually say it's rubbish...

Aside from that, why has Gylfis dad been at Hogwood? Is he representing these other Icelandic lads we've been looking at?

I believe Gylfi's dad and Brian have become good friends over the years and both him and Gylfi have still taken a keen interest in our performances and results since he left. I'd assume he was in the area and McDermott invited him down

That said i don't believe anything BMc says after he declared he was 'not interested' in Adam Le Fondre...

Yeah, but there's a difference between McD inviting him down for a chat and a cuppa, and him (in McDs words) spending a couple of days at the training ground....
Brian seemed a bit hesitant when Dellor asked him about it, as if it caught him on the hop a bit....I think it seriously unlikely that Brian spends much time on here, or on Twitter - makes me wonder if he knew nothing that a rumour was doing the rounds and the question took him by surprise...
I'd kinda dismissed this as a complete non-starter previously, but Brians demeanour when asked about it has, if anything, made me wonder if there is something in this after all....

Yes, not exactly the most convincing of denials!

First thing Heston said was it was unlikely we could afford his wages then said it was rubbish. Don't know about you lot but I'm inclined to believe the manager (but hopefully will be pleasantly surprised come mid January, but won't lose any sleep over not getting him)

Summary - file in the same bin as the Matt Kilgallon rumour.

I truly can't understand why you're nearing 40 and single, I really can't......

Anyway, PLEASE let Gylfi come back to us in January - I wonder if they'll announce it at the Boxing day game - as a sort of Xmas present to us, the loyal fans?!! I'm SOOOOOOOOO excited at the possibility - I can't tell you!!
