SCIAG Why would he want to live in Hull or Sunderland?

In any case, I feel if we had played him earlier in the season, say Sunderland away, we may have got an extra point...

Why would he want to live in Reading, home of a Championship club and no more attractive a place to work in than Sunderland or Hull?

Because there's a strong chance they'll both be in the Championship next season, and both cities are terrible.

It was intended to be ironic.

"To be honest, playing in the Championship has never been my ambition," Bikey told skysports.com.

To be honest, seeing out team relegated to the Championship was not our ambition but there was little we could do about it. Unlike you, Mr Bikey!

"I love the top level, and Reading are in the Championship. I want to play in a top division.

Perhaps you should have kept telling yourself that last season and done something about it then!

So all the blame for our relegations lies at the feet of Bikey.

Glad you cleared that up. I will get warning up so can I boo him like I've never booed before.

I'm not saying that. Its a collective responsibility. I'm just saying its a bit rich when our first team players moan about our relegation when they were, collectively, along with the management, the ones responsible.

Apart from the fact that he does want to leave for France or the top level in England.

His interview was with SkySportsNews, obviously the Daily Star have just taken the story from there.

I thought bikey wanted to play in the french leagues
Last time i checked hull was nowhere near france
Bikey also said he wanted to be in the best leagues - so by going to hull he will need to find a new club at the end of the season
Cant see him going to any english clubs

"To be honest, playing in the Championship has never been my ambition," Bikey told skysports.com.
"I love the top level, and Reading are in the Championship. I want to play in a top division.
"Playing in France would be good, but England is my preferred choice.
"I could learn a lot in the top league here, or in France.
"I am open to a transfer, but I have a contract with Reading until 2010."

Before I have been totally opposed to Bikey playing central midfield, to me he's a centre half, albeit very raw still and prone to errors his best position is centre half, now he has to play central midfield when he gets back.

I'm with you on this in that he is a centre-back but who I think lacks the discipline and dexterity needed by a central midfielder so please let's not have him playing in midfield.
I'm not sure what Cisse is-a poor midfielder or a centre-back who can't head a ball.
We now also have talk of Rosenior filling in at left back to take the place of somebody already filling in!!.
Too many square pegs and round holes.
Is this a club with any serious intention of a promotion challenge when we have so many question marks about our existing players and have brought in a striker who is little different from what we already have?
Where's the planning?
Whatever happened to "brick by brick"?

The foundations were demolished by Chelsea, Pompey, Stoke and Villa?

If you took four of any team's best players away, they'd be a lot worse. Remove Rio, Evra, Ronaldo and Tevez and United would be worse than Liverpool. Remove Cech, Terry, Ballack and Drogba... actually they did pretty well without those three! Chelsea could arguably have won the title if all four had been avalible all season. Remove Gallas, Clichy, Fabregas and Adebayor and Arsenal suffer. Remove Reina, Carragher, Gerrard and Torres and Liverpool suffer. Remove Berbatov, Keane, Modric and King and Spurs suffer. Remove James, Distin, Little Or that's what Redknapp's saying undid them against United and Defoe and Pompey suffer. Hart, Corluka, Elano and Petrov and City suffer, need I go on?

Very true.

We lost ours over an extended period though. We knew 12 months before Sidwell left that it was pretty nailed on he would be going. Same with Shorey. In Little's case we knew he was crocked but failed to act on it and just hoped we could "make do" with what we had to cover.

If any of those teams you've mentioned lost players they'd replace them.

'greed

I could really see that partnership in the midfield working as Karacan loves to bomb forward but also tracks back.

Bikey & Karacan? I can see that being messy and totally uncreative.
