Stranded For a player with only one full season at CCC level behind him, it really wouldn't be.

Ups and Downs Shane Long...going to be the most likely to leave

I disagree. He's 20, he's scored almost 20 goals from midfield. He has bags of potential. In the past the likes of Forest and Southampton have sold their youngsters of similar and lesser quality for £5m+. We're not little Reading any more, and we should hold out for the highest possible price.

TBM Reckon they would reject £2 but if it was £3m+ then they will find it hard to say no

Spacey.....look at Doyle, reckon someone would pay £10m for him now, who would have said that 4/5 years ago

SCIAG He's never worth £10m, but Wolves could probably make a slight profit on their spending on him.

TBM Its no secret that Villa want Doyle - as do Everton & Birmingham. Why you think Wolves would let him leave for a loss of £1.5m is a mystery, considering he's been one of their best players this season - plus he's only 26 years old, an Irish international and still has about 10 years left in him........Anything less than £10m for Doyle and Wolves wont accept - they have no need to.

I didn't know for certain what he was sold for, so in that case, £6.5m is about his top value. He hasn't hit the net regularly this season, again, but is a worker, and is an asset. Just because you say Villa have shown interest previously doesn't mean they'd be prepared to spend £10m on someone who isn't a regular goalscorer at that level.
I cannot see how anyone can value him at £10m when he doesn't have the scoring record to back it up.
