dont think coppell would go within miles of west ham at the moment

Were you one of those who were astute enough to say there was no way Pardew would leave??

Completely different scenario now compared to back then. They are a Premiership club now, back then they weren't. Back then, we didn't expect Pardew to go to them.....because of a clause in his contract!!!!

no

i wasnt on here at the time

im talking purely that west ham united is a much higher pressure, the club is financially messy at the mo, there is talk about players being sold from under the managers nose
all things our manager would run a mile from IMO

but you probably know best

Correct. Complete opposite of the sort of thing Coppell would be attracted to.

Looks like a few Prem clubs are cutting their cloth accordingly, WHU being one of them, why leave a club that has acted that way for all his tenure to go to one with massive expectations, Curbishly left because he is a buyer and seller, and he wants to be able to buy big names, WHU no longer have the money for that, so he got frustrated.

WHU need a big manager, Parky it is then.

Yeah Coppell would love working for a DOF who goes over his head on transfers.

More chance of one of us getting the job than Coppell going.

And I don't think the lure of the Premiership is that big a deal for Coppell right now.

I suspect Coppell is quite fed up at the moment. He has had his pay cut, even though he believes it would have been more motivational to leave pay rates untouched.

I think he is also miffed about lack of transfer cash [according to a source in the club].

Who knows?
If he leaves I will wish him all the best.
If he stays I will be chuffed.

Couldn't blame him for needing a new challenge either. I just don't see him leaving for another club.

Coppell out and Parky in then if we need a new manager.

He'd kick little sex face in the bollocks if he stept out of line.

I'd Like someone with a little more pedigree than Parky for now thanks. Not that Coppell is going anywhere right now.

On the sort of wages JM offers? Who then? It wouldn't be a 'big' name.

I'd take the Swansea manager Martinez or Parky if we have to go the cheap ish route again.

It doesn't have to be a big name. Just someone who has managed a little more than Parky's one successful stint at Colchester followed by utter failure at Hull. A man that hasn't been a manager for how many seasons now? 2? Parky is only suggested because he has legend status as a player. It's a pipe dream until he can show a bit more that he has what it takes.

Coppell's by far the best paid manager in the Championship. The parking lot crew saw to that....
