So the goals at Barnsley from Jem Karacan's intelligent through-balls, and all the intelligent through-balls that Jem Karacan played at Anfield were all figments of my imagination, were they?
And Jem is far more effective and consistent - and he can tackle, too!
For me Karacan, doesn't do that enough. Matejovsky has proven he can be the creative spark in our team and now he needs to do that more often.
Karacan's only had the chance to play that role once or twice, and he's not disappointed either time. Matejovsky has had countless chances and only delivered once or twice.
Don't get me wrong, Matejovsky is our most skillful player - but he doesn't deliver that skill, so he's just not effective. I'd go for a less skillful player who consistently and effectively delivers any day of the week!
