It doesn't matter how bad he is, if we can't get someone better in then McDermott won't just get rid or not play him, he'll have to.

I don't think that will be the case, and I think we'll see a new right back before the start of the season, but I was just making the point that him still being here and in the squad doesn't have to mean McDermott thinks he's good enough.

If he's as bad as many seem to fear we can't fail to get someone better. So ridiculously "what if" I just don't think it's really valid, certainly at this point in time.

He's on a decent wage, I doubt he would jump at the chance to leave.

He was terrible against City in the reserves last week, hardly touched the ball, never got forward. He defended alright to be fair to him, but looked no better than Ollie Kelly did playing out of posistion at left back.

But with McD in charge, who the hell knows....

Certainly worth playing him these final two games. Sink or swim last sitiuatiom. If he's not good enough then we can plan without, if he improves in the way others have then then that takes a little bit of pressure off us to get right back.

He needs to have a real impact not just get by....

Cummings was something like third choice right back for Chelsea's youth sides. He wasn't the stand out player there, and the more informed Chelsea fans I've seen on the web have only had bad things to say about him. He's unlikely to ever be good enough.

I think the fact Griff, who for numerous reasons most prob won't be here next season, is still playing, shows where Cummings is at.

As others said, if there was any chance McD thought he was good enough for next season, he'd have played these last few games since our season effectivley ended...
