Elmer Park Just to make me feel worse not only are Swansea in the race for Fryatt but Rodgers is also after Sturridge or Vela on loan although if Rodgers is perpetuating these rumours then this does fall into the believe it when I see it catagory. Plus of course it is absolutely insane to try to sign top class strikers who wouldn't be prepared to move to your Club permanently. All it could possibly do would be to improve a Club's chances of promotion so what would be the point of that.

Wycombe Royal
URZZZZZZZZ Bednar going to Leicester in the next couple of days.

We really are the most uninspiring team to support.

Just think we could be supporting a team like Preston or someone from lower down the football spectrum. So uninspiring......

It is though, in terms of personnel. When was the last time you were genuinely excited at the prospect of a signing, and then its come off?? For me, it would probably be Lita, and that was 5 years ago!!

You mention Preston, although things are not going well at the moment, there must have been a great deal of excited when they employed the son of the greatest manager ever.

That's a bit unfair brendy, I think the reception Lita got on signing was very positive. He was an exciting prospect coming off a season of scoring plenty of goals, and some right crackers as well and with a £1m price tag made a proper statement of intent.

I don't recall much negativity about the siging.

The signings of Fae and Mateovsky were pretty exciting too. They were players with a decent CV and although I don't think they were the finished article we needed they got the interest up.

Since then who have we signed to get excited about? Mills? That's about it isn't it? Nobody else who you thought would come in and improve the side and nobody you thought would make a game interesting.

When was the last time we actually signed an attacking player, let alone one that would supposedly strenghten the team?

By the way, if Swansea get Sturridge that will be a hell of a signing.

I'm sceptical about the prospect of that happening to be honest. Sturridge is registered in Chelsea's 25 man squad, and in addition is one of the few home grown players that they have. I think the very reason they signed him was to be a squad player, at least in the first few years anyway.

Same goes for Vela, who I think is homegrown too.

Vela would look awfully good in the CCC, up front or in the hole

Leicester to make the play offs. Reading to make mid table if we are lucky.

That signing says all you ever want to know about the relative ambition of RFC!

The live one plays for QPR 3 (09) this season
or the dead one used to play for Liverpool?

The Tommy Smith who used to play for Liverpool is alive and kicking though not kicking as much as he did when he was on the field of play.

How is that exactly? IF we were after him he will have had a choice of clubs and he chose Leicester. This may now mean Fryatt can go out on loan and no matter what you think of him, McDermott clearly see's something in him and if we bring him on loan that'll be a boost imo.

Apparently were the Leicester managements preference but Matty might prefer to go to Hull because of Pearson.
