Royal Lady But, again, to be fair, no-one knows why he fell out with the manager at Leicester - there were certainly no rumours of any trouble when he played under Sven.

He was getting games (vis a vis 'his own way') with Sven.

Well quite. If someone pays £5 million for you, I suppose you kind of think they might actually play you. :|

Your point being that if you aren't being played, you are entitled to, what? A sulk? Spazmo fit? Murder? A go on the managers wife?

no. You said "he was playing under sven".

He was playing under Rodgers until he spoke up for himself and the other players.

He didn't fall out with Rodgers because he didn't play him. Rodgers dropped him for daring to question his tactics. Which, as most will agree, was fair bloody comment at that time.

Royal Lady no. You said "he was playing under sven".

Precisely. You remarked he didn't fall out with Sven. I said that's because he was getting his own way. The next manager had other ideas.

My point is that when he's told otherwise, the evidence is that he goes bonkers.

That's not a particularly attractive trait in a proffesional.

I agree that Mills could be a Premier League quality player. If only someone gave him a brain transplant.

It's a crying shame that a player which such potential is likely to ruin their career by having the mental attributes of a particularly stupid League Two player.

under the tin
Isaac Hunt I'd be very surprised if this is in any way true.

I have it on good authority that we had tried to move him on in the January window prior to when he actually went. He was not considered a Reading type of player, or whatever the expression the club / management like to use.

On purely footballing terms i think he'd be a decent enough addition to the current squad, but personally i'd prefer to see Mariappa instead.

The "Reading DNA" is a player who wants to improve. Seems that Matty thought he was already the complete article, and the club had it wrong.
No thanks.

That's it. Not having the right DNA.

As i said, if we were trying to "move him on" mid-season then BMc clearly didn't want him around the club.

We need a CB, he is surely available for a cut price fee. Don't want it, but can totally see it happening.

Bolton had a £1.5m bid rejected today. Leicester want a lot more than that, so this one could run for a while.

If we hadn't taken the mick out of Leicester enough already with the £5m fee, we also have a sell-on for Mills. "It is what Doncaster applied to us. 20% on any profit LCFC make. Which is £0 by the looks."

Sadly that means we will get diddly squat.

I take plenty of consolation in having utterly ripped Leicester off with the actual fee.

One of my favourite moments of the season was our fans singing to Leicester "You could have had him for a tenner" followed by them singing back something like "you can have him back for a tenner".

Re: Mills. We only got £3m for him. The rest was based on promotion and other add-ons. So we didn't sting Leicester quite as much as we thought.

Mills was within a game of promotion with us, and can hardly be blamed for the self-destruction of Zurab and Griffin in the PO final.
