On the subject of Vaughan

He has a great eye for a pass - anyone remember that cracking through ball he played to Agbonlahor for Villa's 6th in the match at the tail end of last season? Great vision.

TommyF
Platypuss
TommyF Replace him and kiss goodbye to promotion.

This is bollox.

Quite possibly but less bollox than replacing our best players over fans stubborn principles. If he's disrupting the dressing room then that's one thing but just because some fans can't forgive him because he once threw his toys out then that's complete crap.

Let the boy play cos he's bloody good.

Our best player?

Yeah, much better than that bloke who used to play for Real Madrid.

I said 'our best players'. 's' at the end of words signify plural, meaning more than one. I was indicating that he is one of our best players (plural again) and that we need to keep our best players not get rid off just because he pissed a few fans off. I was clearly not stating he is definitively our best player though he is up there so far this season.

in a 4-3-3, playing him to the left of the middle 3 would be perfect. Clever little player that can pass the ball.

I don't know who the player is but I mentioned here earlier we held a medical today, so there may be something to this. Good signing if true. Adkins wants three players for three positions, so this is a good start.
