WestYorksRoyal Darren Witcoop, who has been pretty on the money this summer, suggesting that nothing imminent and Stansfield may stay at Fulham after a good pre season. Recent chaos likely to have put off players and parent clubs.

I do wonder if any remaining incomings will be in the desperate deadline day rush.

Without any investment we’ll most likely be under an embargo from early next week.

Yay, business as usual!

blythspartan The fella from the Mirror who is pretty reliable is suggesting that the mess behind the scenes is putting off clubs and players.

Bearing in mind we have a tax bill to pay again soon the best we can probably hope for is Walcott and 2 or 3 bargain basement signings.

Should be a fairly small bill this time with no Liam Moore on the books

Sadly can absolutely see why sides are put off loaning anyone to us, especially if we are expected to pick up a portion of the wages.

Looks like free agents like releases from Blackpool's under 21 team are par for the course for the remainder of the window, and that's on the basis we pay the tax and wages next week.

Can only hope the likes of Vickers, Abbey and Bindon can step up....going to be a tough season.

Can you really blame them? As mentioned, if you're loaning out a player, do you seriously want to be loaning them to as club who has issues paying it's tax bills as well as players/staff on time?

I certainly don’t blame them. I can see no reason why anyone would want to join us right now. Unless they have no other choice.

7 players have. I know it`s Monday but aren`t you a bundle of laughs today. why speculate about a `likely` embargo next week? the tax bill could well be paid.
Let`s wait and see before taking those pills.

That’s a fair point.

Big Daz W again:

Reading have enquired about Swansea centre-back Brandon Cooper, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Forest Green.

How about Henry Cooper. At least nobody would dare foul him.

Seen that Blackburn have an interest in Tom McIntyre but no deal is close yet.

It’d do him good tbf

I honestly think the best thing for both Toms career wise would be to move on asap

Agree. I think it would be best for both parties, recoup a bit of cash for both and change it up defensively for ourselves as well.

Being linked with 20yo Chelsea midfielder Ben Elliot. Seems to be very highly rated, but had a bad injury. No first team appearances for Super Chels, but has played one game for Cameroon.

Ben has interest from pretty much every club itw so it’s important he gets the right move and potentially starting for Cameroon in January (assuming they qualify) will be a huge factor. Will speak more about him leaving when it happens but Reading are leading the race atm.

I mean why wouldn't we be leading the race against every other club in the world.
