Ideal Wants away from Villa to play regularly, and we would like a big striker.

Superb.
I win if Reading make any signings before Madejski dies - I'll be generous and ignore contract renewals - regardless of whether he is involved with the club in any way.
As a multi-millionaire I'd say the Madster has at least another 20 years left in him (private healthcare and all that). Which means we'll be playing the current recent academy graduates to the squad well into their 30s, possibly their their 40s, unless we sign someone.
If he does well it could be another 40 odd in which case Abdulai Bell-Baggie will be upfront for us into his late 50s beating even Steve Claridge.

Ideal Well, Carew and Houllier seem to be in a full on war of words.
Starting with Houllier saying to the media that Carew needed to prove himself to gain a new contract.
Then Carew said to the media that he felt it was disrespectful that Houllier said this to the media and not to him directly, despite Houllier demanding in-house "privacy" with regards to sporting matters, from the players.
So now Houllier has said he thinks Carew is "stupid".. which clearly won't go down well with Carew.
Hence Carew is now out "injured" while Aston Villa have a striker emergency and only Delfuenso is fit to play.
I don't think it would take much of an effort to lure him away from Aston Villa.. Houllier was also the person who sold him from Lyon to begin with, so they are not best of friends.

Ideal Yes, I think he's desperate to get away from Villa and Houllier..
How is that so hard to understand?
