The two players quoted by Nigel Adkins as joining the club are firstly as expected Joseph Akpala, but additonally Liam Bridcutt who is the 'close to home' player that Adkins referred to. Both deals are expected to be completed over the weekend with the double announcement next week.

Who's Bridcutt ? Never heard of him.

Now I'm not the most clued up football fan in the world, but come on. Liam Bridcutt was as good as any Championship player last season, and Petric is a prominent international who was playing for a Premier League team last season.

IMO Petric would be an excellent signing. Bridcutt is a very good player, and I'd love to sign him if Guthrie left, but as it is we have four excellent Championship midfielders plus Akpan and the kids so we don't need him.

youve got to remember that bournemouth poole and christchurch is basicly one big city, there are loads of opa's but there are also lots of young people and familys there too. people don't realize that. the population of the area is over 400,000 that's more than southampton (250,000) and if they can fill 32,000 can't see why AFCB couldn't fill 30,0000? afcb has the potential to be a big club
