Gylfi returning on loan?

by IcelandicStokie » 26 Nov 2011 14:47

It has just been reported on the news here in Iceland, RAS2 Broadcasting, that Gylfi Sigurdsson could be returning to Reading in january on loan. Discussions have taken place. He is not considered a starting material at Hoffenheim with the emergence of Brazilian talent Roberto Firmino and Gylfi hasnt played 1 minute on the Bundesliga pitch since october 28th. Apparently he wants to go back to England. Will post more if I hear anything else on this.

In the short term it'd be good thing, of course, but in the longer term we'd be back to having the same problem as soon as he left or was injured, so it'd delay us having to develop our own creativity.

This would be rather incredible .....

Realises his mistake in leaving ..... we get him on a cut price deal ...... creative spark ...... Gylfi linking up with ALF ...... good things could happen!

Or it could fill the gap whilst it's being done. Or it could result in us getting promoted and his permenant return.

it would be a real boost for us but he should be looking at a loan to a premiership club. i suppose to get him playing again then we're ideal but he is to good for a mediocre 2nd tier side.
