Also told #ReadingFC trying to sign Hayden Mullins from #Pompey. Basically sounds like all Portsmouth's decent

Local boy finally coming "home"? Decent cover for the run in and if we can now afford the wages, great!

:| if this is true I'm not sure what exactly it is that he would bring to the squad that's different. Perhaps there's an argument that he's a technically better quality player than Leigertwood or Karacan but I'm not entirely convinced by that from what I've seen in the last couple of seasons. Then again perhaps the freshness of a new face would put that little bit of extra competition and lift about the place - or perhaps there's been an injury in training and we need cover quick.

Overall though I expect this to turn out to be no more than the usual made up cobblers.

Technically good on the ball and adapts to most playing systems. I'd be well happy with Mullins.

Not in the squad today either, fuelling Nursey's speculation....he's the only one reporting it.

I'm sure Mullins will leave Pompey, but could very well be lazy journalism due to the Reading link and us doing quite well. There is surely no real place for him in the squad, we have Tabb as cover after all. Unless McDermott really wants to bolster the squad for the promotion push, even then, i'd have taken Mullins 5 years ago perhaps.

james nursey is very reliable with his sources. i would be very happy with this, although i'm not sure how he fits in just yet.

if you look further ahead, there wont be a gunnarsson or possibly even a jay tabb here next season, so it could be a good move in readiness.

Surely the time of the season for the Kitson based rumours to start again too. He is like Mullins in terms of wages at Pompey....they need them both gone.......lets sign both of them

Wiki says he won Pompeys player of the season last year.. dunno if that says much really. Tabb won POS at Coventry after all.

Good signing.

Adds to our strength in-depth which is no issue at all.
