And good old fashioned promotion to the Premier League twice, but don't let that stop you being a div.

Ok i retract the comment about cheap garbage from poundland. Just angry that targets we should
Get go to clubs i consider us to be on a par with. I was angry

Looking forward to getting the experienced pl players that BM has stated we are targetting this window...

You would havr thought that we might have learnt from our last pl stay. Ie buy in the summer what you need. Now is too late. People at the club got the strategy wrong in the summer.
Surprised because Hammond, Bm and co were all at the club then..

the strategy depends on the money available.
if there wasnt much money available, id say our strategys and transfer activity was pretty decent.

its all very well saying it, but as brian has also said- those kind of players are very difficult to bring in to a club in our position.

So you show willing and at least positively look to try and get players of a much higher calibre - OK it may fail but if you're showing that ambition when you fall short you should be able to land in the next layer down rather than struggling from the layer beneath that hoping that tenacity, spirit and being careful makes up for the difference.

Jackson Corner Possible but WBA would want there 6 million back. Out of our price range.

i dont think so plus if the money was in stages over 2-3 years then theyve probably only paid £2m or so

We have ZERO chance of getting Long back now, but for arguments sake, we have a sell-on clause, so if they wanted £6m, we could get him for less.

Sounds like a reading deal. Buy him back cheaply and then sell to Lazio with a new sell-on clause. Just hope he gets to play 1-2 games before he is sold on.

More than a little naive. The lesson can only be learned if the strategy is bankrolled. NH, BMcD and co don't write the cheques! They do what they can within the margins provided.

Oh Shane Long, please come home
To the place, You Belong!
Back to Reading, the Royal County,
Oh Shane Long, please come home
