RUMOUR - Graham Dorrans

by USA_Loyal_Royal » 23 Nov 2012 12:36

could possibly be a decent prospect for a solid midfielder. looks to be a good passer, ball distributor, and good going forward. im not sure how much he would cost through transfer fees and wages but could be worth a shot?

Would be a great signing for us in my opinion. Could play the no.10 role if required but can adapt to 4-4-2 as well and another good player for set pieces.

Great player, but I don't know if West Brom would sell him to us.

Apparently WBA have said he can leave if they get a suitable fee. Yes please.

Surprised WBA are willing to let him go he is a quality player. Think we would need to shift out Tabb or Legs in order for this to have a realistic chance however.

Imagine there will be a club like Norwich though who will be more than happy to have a player of his quality. We should still make an enquiry though as he is the sort of player we need right now.

He'd be an excellent addition for next season.

WBA are looking to let him go. Would be a great signing. I really hope this happens. Hopefully £2.5m would do the trick.

West Ham failed with a bid of five million. WBA would want something more than 5 mill for him and, in my opinion, it would be money well spent. However, frankly I don't think Dorrans would want to come to a club likely to be relegated...he is too good.

When was that though? Contract remaining? Price comes down.

Dorrans, really? Good enough? Significantly better than what we have already?

Currently, in Dorrans' position, we have Jake Taylor, Lawson D'Ath, Craig Tanner and Aaron Kuhl. As much as a rate those players, none of them are remotely as good as Dorrans yet.

The year Sigurdsson scored 20 goals for us, Dorrans scored 18, and he didn't take penalties.

RUMOUR - Graham Dorrans

by Michael Meaker » 16 Jan 2013 08:06

Reports linking us with a move for Graham Dorrans who has been told that he can leave West Brom:

Reading are reported to be lining up a swoop for West Brom midfield man Graham Dorrans after the Baggies said he could leave.

Albion boss Steve Clarke has batted off interest in his star players during the transfer window but has said Dorrans is free to leave the Hawthorns should a suitable offer come in.
Royals boss Brian McDermott is now ready to make his move and reports claim he could land the 25-year-old midfielder for a fee in the region of £3.5million.
McDermott wants players with Premier League experience as they look to get out of trouble and Dorrans has plenty of it despite slipping down the pecking order in the west Midlands.

Could he be the attacking midfielder that many people think we are currently lacking?

Since they've got a lot of injuries at the moment including Gera out for the rest of the season, I'd be surprised to see them let him go now. But otherwise, he's a great Championship player but seems to have struggled to make the step up, but still better than the kids we've got who are attacking cm's.
