McCarthy is a good manager that was harshly sacked by Wolves in a very similar manner to Brain, BUT he would come a distant third behind Poyet and Adkins to me - because they have both produced teams that play a much better brand of football.

Wouldn't be surprised if McCarthy had expressed an interest. Remember him saying some very kind things about the club. Whether we'd be interested is another thing altogether though!
