Havenaar is only good because he plays with little people.

I can confirm talks with the player have at present broken down. This is due to Havenaar concerned of the attention he will get in the Football League with the World Cup fast approaching. I also understand that the contract offered was for two years with an option of a third activated by the club, and Havenaar wanted more to set up a bit of security for himself. It seems he would like a 4 year contract offering

Reading4eva I am recycling twitter rumors that talks with the player have at present broken down. This is due to Havenaar concerned of the attention he will get in the Football League with the World Cup fast approaching. I also just made up that the contract offered was for two years with an option of a third activated by the club, and Havenaar wanted more to set up a bit of security for himself. It seems he would like a 4 year contract offering

so let me get this straight, he wasn't interested at all cause were in a smaller league than he'd like.... yet he goes into negotiations anyways over contract and then turns it down because he'd like to be with us for longer? :?

No, he didn't actually negotiate with anyone directly - he did it all via Twitter using a 12-year old as an agent.

Looks to be attracting interest from a number of PL clubs, that would count us out.

Same quote. No mention of PL anywhere except headline.

We really need this to be concluded ASAP. Even if it does happen fairly soon he is unlikely to play against Ipswich

Currently playing against Real Madrid, bet he really wishes he could've signed for Reading.

Reading4eva Heard some more about this. Supposably we have someone out there talking to him. Maybe Nicky???

Hell of a way for NH to go just for a few talks. Surely he is needed here for other signings be they in or out.

Could be on of the Thai consortium perhaps :)
