sandman We don't fucking need him but at least we think we can sign him. His signing on fee will be large, he will not be on a pittance and that signing on fee with those wages will take up money that we could use to sign players we do need in January. Frankly he appears to be another name player "gift" that the owner wants to sign on the manager's behalf whether he's wanted by the coaching staff or not.

Sounds like the kind of judgement that should be made after he's signed and played a few games if you ask me.

The question is where are we light in the and the answer most would've given during the transfer window and now after it would be attack and defence. I think very few, no matter what side of this debate you are on, would say a Midfielder is number 1 priority.

Ah so you have no answer except a petty little barb.

Here's another question, at what point during the last days of the transfer window did our manager say that what he really really needed more than anything else was to sign a Central Midfield player?

Until then it's Schroedinger's transfer saga.

Is Sissoko dead?

Or alive? No way of knowing

To be honest I didn't think your post warranted a sensible reply.

Schroedinger would not be famous if he had only fitted a cat flap to the box.

I think your question wasn't written very well, that was the point. It was pretty hard to read it without any punctuation and the odd word and thrown and in randomly. Just sayin'.

Also, please show me the transcript of where our manager said "what we really really need more than anything else is a striker." Pretty sure that's been HNA? saying that all along (not that HNA? is wrong mind you).

Bad news Gazzer, if not unexpected. I wouldn't even be surprised to find we were used as a way of manoeuvring Sissoko out of his contract so he could talk to other clubs.

Having said that I really can't believe some of the things being written. 'We don't need another midfielder'. That's a very sweeping thing to say. If you look at this guy's CV (parking injury queries) it would seem it's a bit of a cut above what we already have so to say we don't need him is ridiculous. Surely if presented with the opportunity to sign a player that could be a big improvement to your squad, you would wouldn't you? Even if you already had cover in that position?

Rafa Benitez is plotting to hijack midfielder Momo Sissoko's switch to Reading.

Let's be honest, if Sissoko was interested in playing for Reading, he would have signed for us by now. He's playing the game and holding out for a better offer. That being the case, we don't want him!! He'll land up being another Pog
