SPARTA Watts says this is was Thai interest and not Adkins'. Sounds like more of the same interference as Zingarevich. Expect that's the same with Ferdinand.

Oh joy. This is one of the reasons I'm dead against Ferdinand. Because there's no way he could realistically be part of Adkins plans.

With respect to Blackpool I doubt we can have been too interested in signing him anyway.

The Daily Mail have had a mare there. Not too disappointed though, considering Adkins comments that it was someone upstairs wanting him. I'm sick of this interfering in team affairs. Just leave it to the manager! Can see Adkins lasting till Christmas before having enough and walking away. When is his contract up? Next summer?

Fairly damning evidence. Never mind, we've got Hope Akpan.

Don't think Hope can play left back?

LOL, admittedly never heard of the bloke and thought he was a midfielder. Though actually might as well play Akpan at LB, clearly not a CM.

To be fair to the Mail, what they actually wrote was probably spot on, he just decided to stick with Blackpool for whatever reasons (the manager wanting him perhaps? Not having to oust last years player of the season from the team maybe?).

the Mail Reading have moved to pip Blackpool for Spanish left-back Joan Oriol.

The 27-year-old free agent was due to hold talks at Bloomfield Road but Reading heard of his availability and have stepped in with a better offer.

Oriol was with Osasuna last season but has also appeared for Villarreal.

Shows how low we have gone.
Blackpool, a Club in turmoil, a current laughing stock are a preferred choice to us

Still Anton Ferdinand who was one of the worst players ever to wear a QPHa shirt may be coming to us.... Great!

Seem to remember people saying the same sort of thing about a certain Mikele Leigertwood before he signed for us.

Is there even evidence we made a serious offer?

No there isn't, but some posters won't let that get in the way of their issues with the club.
