RUMOUR - Coker - Southend

by One8Seven1* » 27 Jun 2016 16:39

£100k bid rejected, or laughed off, by Southend for their talented left back.

"£100,000?"

Seems a reasonable fee. I think i remember managing him in a FM 11 game for Bury.
I got sacked so cant attest to his ability IRL 5 years on.

Seems fair given the state of the Pound.

Less than £100k for a player we've never heard of before today? What a joke :!:

Nice try Reading. Bid under 100k and he's still got 2 years on his deal there. Only Nicky Hammond could have pulled that off.

Prefer Rico Henry (Walsall) myself, though not sure if he plays the same side as Coker.

I can't believe we'd even go in with an offer like that! He's a highly rated young defender. Even in League One you'd expect minimum £500k for someone that highly thought of. £100k is a joke.

You suppose we could afford a let back who was a household name !
Anyways why are we going in for a left back ? that's hardly the reason we were khak last year, a centre half maybe ?
Wonder where Hector will go on loan next year, he's not going to get a kick at Chelsea ...

Yep, a left-back, and agree, much more promising.

Is he not 25? Is that young these days?

He's 27. Not exactly what I would call young in terms of a footballer. Probably peaking age, so good time to sign.

Isn't this just a case of test the water with an unrealistic bid then barter .

He often sports a ridiculous topknot which is one of the international symbols for belendery. For that reason, i'm out.
