paultheroyal How dire has the local media been about this. The "written press" i get, because we dont have one, but considering Dellor and Williams, majority of their work is fuelled by Reading FC, silence is deafening. Most bizarre.

Will be this week as all they'll give a snot about is horses and then next week the utter non-event that is Henley. They'll only mention Reading if a new "manager" is appointed. You'd think the close season would be an ideal time to get a few interviews together for the podcast and sit down and look at the rumours and cr@pola around at the moment and set out what's actually what but then it's the BBC so the last thing they do is actual journalism.

Agreed - but it is so poor. I know they have "other tasks to do" - but even a simple tweet of acknowledgement, from someone who has a voice, and a link to club and fans be something. But not a thing. Odd.

Yep, in amongst the piles of horse shyte from Ascot all we got in the morning sports bulletin today was jokes about how they wouldn't need to worry about getting out of the SCL Stadium car park next season.

Sutekh Only “read” the Chronic these days, long since had enough of the utter cr@p that masquerades as the once great evening post - especially detest the meaningless click bait headlines leading to stories that say precisely nothing.

I will always remember his webchats. They were the absolute epitome of a pointless waste of time.

Dunno AE probably outdoes them

You have to consider:
1. No one at the club is going to be giving interviews right now.
2. If anyone publishes anything based on rumour/off the record conversation they risk being sued.
3. The club will no doubt remove cooperation with anyone who goes 'negative'. And that's the end of their career reporting on RFC and puts the newspaper/website at risk.

Yes, seems like a decent chap. He seems to have ridden the wave of local newspaper cutbacks and fallen off rather unluckily on several occasions.
