NathStPaul Not sure how reliable the guy reporting it is but if true then the club can't really turn it down, that's a great offer.

Pretty sure that is a bollocks account but could easily see someone like Norwich coming in for him as they look to build a squad to win next season's Championship.

4m would be a great deal mind given the unlikelihood of him being here next year.

why do you think that? seems a genuine account to me :?

I thought the account rang a bell and just found the story it reminded me of.

He tweeted once that Robert Huth had signed an 18 month deal with Derby which would be announced later that day. Robert Huth himself tweeted back to confirm it was bollocks as he had already announced his retirement.

He has also claimed just this month that Tammy Abraham was signing for Inter as part of the Lukaku deal and Ross Barkley was about to sign for Everton in an 18.5m deal.

So yeah, it's either a fake account or someone who isn't as well connected as he thinks he is.

Hendo Would be gutted to lose Swift, but yeah we probably can't be turning down £4m if it is true.

Samesies. Would be sad to see him go. Thoughts with Sethmondo at this difficult time.

Can't see that happening. Norwich are well overloaded with midfielders.

blythspartan There’s a lot of hostility on Twitter about our new signings. I understand that they’re aren’t everyone’s first choice but given our current predicament I am not sure what people are expecting tbh.

Hostility on twitter? Now there's a turn up for the books!!!

Swift would be the one player I hope we wouldn't sell. But we'd get a massive wage off the bill.

£4m isn't a terrible offer given he's out of contract next summer. I think £5m+ the club would 100% take it!

TBM Get rid of Moore - would mean £££ in the bank and £30k a week in wages saved.

Who is buying him?

Give him away for free and cover a third of his wages.

Net saving still made.

Sutekh Well at least Andy Carroll would give Reading’s defence something to aim for as an outlet rather than unnecessarily trying to fart-arse about with the ball when under pressure. Best not hit the ball too hard toward him though, just in case.

Put him on a treatment table in the dugout and Moore and Cabral might successfully hit him with the pass too.

Middlesbrough are planning to make a move for Reading FC’s Josh Laurent. Fee should be around 2.5m. #Boro #Readingfc

Not to be sniffed at. He can be a huge asset but if he isn't signing a new contract with us, cash in. Hasn't looked like the player from last season.
Not a fan of selling Swift, he has looked a class above and would be a huge factor of keeping us up.

How can you ‘plan to make a move’ at noon on deadline day !
If we lost Laurent and Swift for a combined £7 million + I would be disappointed but we have replacements already and neither would have stayed next summer .....

Why do people do that, I know schools are still off, but what joy do they get out of it?

Oh I don't mean it's you on a wind up. I mean sharing stuff from random with no effort to see if they might actually be genuine

NathStPaul For those expressing shock and despair I would like to know what you were hoping for? We are limited in what we can pay and there are only so many available strikers out there. You can't all beg for signings and then turn your nose up at a proven goalscorer like Andy Carroll. Yes he is injury prone but he will be getting paid 8.5k a week and it will be a season long deal. We can't really lose.

Couldn’t agree more

A goal hanging, barely mobile Carroll will score more than Puscus on his own up front.

Not if he's crocked.
