YorkshireRoyal99 Surprised he wants to leave given his status there, especially after the play off victory as well.

He is completely usless. He was dropped midseason if I remember rightly but eventually won his place back. Nowhere near Premier League quality.

He missed 6 games all season, 3 of which were due to suspension and the other 3 he was on the bench, so he's been pretty consistent throughout the season in terms of appearances.

I've never thought he would ever be good enough for that level, I questioned him a season or two ago when they first signed him. I can imagine he would go somewhere better than us anyway.

He managed 6 yellow cards and a red card last season, an ill-disciplined goalkeeper?

Yeah he is a oxf*rd. If I remember rightly he has had a bit of history with our supporters on social media.

Pass.

Looked shaky on crosses and a solid defence got him through games. A decent shot stopper but no better than Southwood. Probably wanting high end Champ wages too.

Yeah that does ring a bell. Can see why you thought he lost his place because, to a degree, he did. He missed 3 games after his red and was then benched for the following 2.

I don't think I've ever been convinced with him since our goal in the 98th minute went in against them when we drew 1-1 and he seemed to get a decent hand and it just nestled in the side of the net.

YorkshireRoyal99 Yeah potentially, I've never rated Meslier anyway really, I think he looks poor most of the time I see him play, just looks like a weak goalkeeper but most of my biased Leeds mates seem to think he's the next big thing.

Did Bielsa bring him in? Leeds fans seem to think any player he signed was a masterstroke us mortals just don't understand.

Yes I believe so. One of my Leeds mates believes he has the potential to exceed Buffon.

How about Samba from Forest? Looks like they've got Pope from Burnley as their new number one.

Dunno. Don't think it has been discussed on this page or the previous one.

If not mentioned already Karius has been released.

Yeah I know I know, but he may just find consistency and confidence at this level.

Ben Woodburn has also been released by Liverpool. I've not really followed his career but he was very well thought of a few years back, and i have no idea where he's been playing. Just googled it, Hearts in Scotland, Blackpool and Oxford.
Might be worth a shout as we'll need plenty of midfield cover if Rhino and Laurent leave, and he wages must be well within our reach.

PS this is totally on the wrong thread BTW, just replying to the post above :D

This is John Smith you're talking about. Everything's "shite" unless he likes it, in which case, its the greatest thing ever.
