CountryRoyal Surprised he wants to come after we practically made him cry at one of the Brentford aways.

Yeah he’s not what he was, but neither are we and I’d prefer him to some rando with 7 appearances.

Wasn't that during the time Nick Blackman had turned into prime Pele? Button got some top quality abuse that day.

Yeah pretty much. Blackman that season was hilarious, remember better believe he scores goals, started end of season before (particularly Wednesday away) because the bloke couldn’t score in a brothel, then all of a sudden couldn’t miss. Was jokes.

I am a tad disappointed that we don't seem to be giving Andressen a chance. I know that he was very highly rated at Exeter whilst on loan a couple of seasons back. Seems a shame not to at least give him a go. Looks like CBC is ahead of him but having watched CBC a number of times at various age levels, I have never been impressed. I just don't get why he is so highly rated. I actually thought Collins looked a better talent at U21 when he got a chance last season.

Well, one thing you can say about Button is he could have held out for more money seeing out his contract at West Brom, unless of course the mutual termination was West Brom offering to pay up the difference he will lose out on this season signing with us for lower wages.

I, for one, am enjoying our signing teaser videos.

Yep confrimed. Think he’ll do better than expected.

Would happily see Bouzanis moved on now really, with Jokull and CBC as back up

One of Bouzanis or Andresson surely has to go now, at least on loan.

Has to be part of the plan and if Pereria joins too then could see both move on either temp/perm.

I have zero idea why we'd bother with Pereira, especially as back up.

Total waste of resource.

Tend to agree but if they have no faith in 2 of the 3 keepers on our books - or believe that CBC could still walk, then it makes more sense, will be wanting 3 keepers on the books who could do a job in the first team.

Jokull pens contract extension until Summer 2025.

Also joins Carlisle on loan for the season.

Mark Bowen, Head of Football Operations, said: “We were extremely pleased to be able to extend Jokull’s contract – he has been at the club for a long time and is very popular amongst the players and the coaches for both his attitude and personality.

“This loan move offers him the perfect opportunity to further hone his skills and stake a claim for a starting place in this division. We want him to gain the necessary experience this season to be able to come back and compete for the number one spot at Reading.”

Indicates that they think he could be number 1 going forward and this will be the big chance to prove himself on loan.

Suggests so - unless CBC also signs and breaks through.

Good move really, he's only played 14 games at this level and was dropped my Morecombe on his last loan, hopefully he gets 30 plus games and comes back ready for this level next year.

Be interesting now, could see scope for Pereria signing too and Bouzanis heading out.

Rather just hold on to Bouzanis than replace him with Pereira.

Agree, I think Button, Bouzanis and CBC should be enough.

I’d have had him number 1 here, but this is the next best thing

Good to see he is in the thoughts of the management

Presume he'll be the understudy to Thomas Holy as their only other keeper is a scholar.

don't see the point of him going somewhere to be understudy though. he needs games. He could sit on the bench at Reading.

Think it probably means CBC is going to sign another contract? Or Pereira replaces CBC if he doesn't sign a contract?

Jokul has signed a new contract extension (until 2025), but going on a season long loan to Carlisle United. On the RFC website.
