As we can still sign free agents are there any positions you’d like to see us add some more experience.

I am happy with our transfer business, but I’d quite like to see us sign another experienced striker, if possible. I’d be happy with Lyle Taylor on a year’s contract.

Yeah could do worse than him imo. Probably wouldn't be the worst idea in the world, although I think our squad is there in numbers now, possibly worth reassessing in January to see what we can do in regards to loan deals potentially in certain areas if needs be. Probably try and use Jan to move on players we didn't this summer as well, thinking more Holmes and NGW.

Can’t see us signing someone like that. We’re aiming for a very high energy front line and we’ve just parted company with an old experienced CF

If we do sign another striker expect it’d be someone below 25 and similar situation to Mola

I'd be surprised if we sign any free agents

If we sign any free agents, then we may move for a DM or midfielder - someone like Longstaff or Onomah. Crazy amount of very decent players sat without clubs. Could be an absolute bargain or two available as may be happy to take a 1 year deal or a realtively small wage, just to stay in the game and prove themselves.

Either of those two would be worth a look. Suspect they are of interest to other clubs as well

Amos and Shodipo didn’t find anyone did they? Adeniron went to Portugal in the end

Amos certainly still free - suggests that either whatever better option he thought he had didn't come off, or we cut the tie. Shodipo also seems to be struggling to find a club.

Hadn't seen that Adeniron had headed over to Portugal - decent move for him. Imagine with him, we just couldn't agree terms and with the other 2, if we were interested, they had no wish to hang around like someone like Dean did.

Ruben Selles on free agents: "We don’t have any space in our budget, we are at 100% limit.

"With the financial part, the EFL have put strict rules on us on how much we can spend and we’ve reached our limit so it’s not possible for us right now.”

Good. Squad is plenty big enough and someone needs to stop the clown putting us in worse financial dire straits than we're already in.

Yeah he has to focus on what we have at the club now. He’s got the kind of players he wants, now it’s about moulding them into a team that can improve and consistently get results. With one eye on selling players

There’s enough there to be a good side in this division

Stranded Rumour on Twitter, not from a particularly credible account, linking us to a move for Dane Scarlett on loan from Spurs.

Had a relatively underwhelming loan at Pompey last season.

Notice this chap has been recalled by Spurs from his unproductive loan at Ipswich

Might be worth another look

Could do with another striking option and Carey knows him/Spurs, so may not be the worst move.

If he's failed at Ipswich he'll likely fail with us. No thanks

He scored 4 for Pompey in L1 last season.

He's only 19 so the fact he failed to break into a promotion pushing Ipswich side, is not something I'm going to hold against him if the club feel he is the right fit to replace Ballard.

If he's not good enough for Spurs, he can't be good enough for us. Period.
