At this point of proceedings are we going to do any better?

Yes, a manager who actually has experience in league one.

No manager with experience is stupid enough to join this shitshow.

Cotterill would be a "Steady Eddie" type of manager, pretty average, plain and nothing to write home about, however, i still think he would be way better than Paul Ince!!
With the club looking like were in total free fall then maybe a steady eddie is just what we need.
Anyone know what his preferred style of football and formation is?

I'd rather a steady eddie right now with the mess the clubs in.

So we all hope for Wilder and get Selles. Think the owner has made a massive bet on another relegation at the end of the coming season. Still the Blue Square South will be fun.

It would be League 2 and not National League South if we are relegated. HTH.

Think we could well end up in the 6th tier with this clown owning us. Hopefully we can force him out before then.

Hasn't this club learned anything?

Is it just looking to find a league that doesn't operate with ffp restrictions?

This will go down like a

I've seen Selles described as a good coach but not a good manager (akin to Clement)

What's the distinction between a manager and a coach if Bowen et al are handling the transfer side of things?

Tactical awareness, making subs, managing players and explaining why you're not picking them. Still plenty of differences

A coach improves a player's ability with advice and things like that.

A manager does that and also looks after squad morale, tactics and game management.

Ruben Selles would be worth a punt if we had an established side and weren't in a rebuild. I hope it's not him who's our next manager. Have any foreign managers done well in the lower leagues?

I just can't see how we've gone from Wilder to Sellers. It's quite the leap. There must be a dozen more suitable candidates in the middle. Even without the Southampton disaster, what has he actually achieved to even make him a candidate? That's a genuine question btw.

Ruben Selles is just us repeating exactly the same mistakes of the past. Hiring someone with minimal relevant experience based on their connections. Who knows - every new manager is a gamble, but there are things you can do to make it less of one. Like bringing in someone who has a record of achievement in the league you're playing in, someone that players will respect based on their past.
