My daughter is really pissed off that she has outgrown her kit, especially as her brother can still fit in his, so I want to buy her (them) a new one, but I don't want it to be shit.

Maybe do a trade, if anyone has a smaller sized daughter they'd be willing to exchange for yours?
They may still have some of last seasons kits reduced to clear in her size, if you're quick.

I'd rather see the town painted blue and white to link to the club, but I guess that isn't an option.

For me, it's the hoops not being clean. I like the idea though, perhaps if it was imbedded within the hoops like the recent shirts with the historic players names on so the shirt still looks clean.

It's only for one season and it might grow on me, I hated last seasons kit with the climate stripes on but grew to like it and actually bought it. I won't buy this one though as I don't buy one every season.
