Rumour - Junior Hoilett

Over on that there Twitter, allegedly been at Bearwood. OOC on NYE.

Probably just keeping fit but good a short term deal for him until the summer resolve the left side issue and be good for both parties?

I'd be surprised if he rejoined. Would be a good short term option, especially as we don't have many proper wingers in the squad.

Someone would obviously have to leave first.

But with rumours of Vickers out for £1m and maybe Holmes too (who would be one of the higher paid players - plus if anything we're overstocked at CB), Hoilett is a known quantity who exactly fits our weak spot. Experienced winger. Not only that, he did ok at RWB at times last season.

Better option than a recently injured freebie PL kid with less experience than any of our own players.

Yeah no issue with this at this point in time if he was available and wanted to come

No frills but would be useful

With Ballard going back to Saints assume we have one space available again?

Is it space or wages that are the problem? I thought it was more the latter?

It was both. But I can't see Hoilett happening unless he's willing to play for free.

Yeah wouldn't be bad for 6 months to help support us in an area where we are a bit light.

Really, in this situation we should just be banned from signing anyone. Any money that comes into the club should be going into a reserve pot to pay wages and HMRC.

I'd have him back but I don't think it's feasible, unless we are any closer to a takeover. Even then I don't think that'll necessarily mean we have much financial wiggle room.
