Ok Just seen on the skysports site that Isakson from Man City can leave,

Surely this is an opportunity for anyone who does not like our Goalkeeping situation to jump on and suggest we should sign him!

Not a bad keeper from what I have seen of him!

He's also just about the tallest.

I've never been totally convinced. He's looked good for Sweden the couple of times I've seen him but he's always injured isn't he?

Not really performed that well for City. Better than Marcus? Possibly, but only if you can get him on the pitch.

Sorensen or Isaakson would make a difference.

Even if its Hahnemann having someone of genuine quality just behind him.

Remind me why we didn't go for Postma then ...

Chris Riggott?

I think Middlesbrough would consider selling him. They already have Woodgate, Huth, Wheater and Pogatetz.

He looked decent in the premiership, but is perhaps a bit injury prone.

Coppell's Right Footed 11 ...
Alexandre Song
...
Lassana Diarra (If we are being ambitious)
...
Park Ji Sung (loan)
...
Matthew Taylor
David Nugent[/b]
...
Wayne Routledge

Tom Huddlestone
...
Zoltan Gera

They would be amazing deals, but i just can't see Park, Song, Diarra, Huddlestone or Gera wanting to sign for us. However, Taylor, Nugent and Routledge could be real possibilities and brilliant buys.

Yes, would be a shame to upset his permanently sunny disposition.

i notice Nugent has gone to Ipswich on loan. With players like Lita and Doyle not scoring, and Long not yet the finished article, we should have been looking to sign quality players like this. Maybe we did try, but obviously not hard enough.

i think there is an argument to say he has not had the opportunity to prove himself at Pompey yet.

Stuart Taylor could be a good signing if available. Always impressed when given the chance at villa.

That might not be that far fetched. 1 year contract maybe. Certainly of we go down that would be ideal.

there's a few in the championship, what about keogh (wolves) or ebanks-blake (plymouth). imo we could do with another striker
