londinium I wont be sorry to see him go.

Never rated him, thought he was o.k. in the Championship... not good enough for the Premiership and if he isnt in the team infront of Hunt or Oster then he certianly isn't good enough in Coppell's eyes.

Bye Bobby... flattered to deceive.

This is hilarious. Take a look at the Championship winning season DVD.

Convey is a superior player to Hunt technically and in ability, Hunt makes up for his endeavour and work rate, however, as has been seen of late, when he doesn't do this he doesn't have much else.

Convey & Little between them were for me the 'main' reason for our success 2 years ago.

I'm all for opinions, but yours is so far off the mark it's ridiculous.............

Chaney There was talk at work this morning that he left the ground before the game when he discovered he wasn`t in the starting squad, hard to blame him really when the useless Hunt and Oster regulally get the nod over him

What are you saying Chaney? I think we both agree that Coppell has lost the dressing room.
He obviously sent Bobby Convey out to look for it.

Also based on that game - hell, based on most games this season - Halls's crossing >>> Hunt's crossing

I very much doubt that Convey will leave at the end of the season.

I was at the Arsenal game on Sat and I believe his work rate and desire to try and do something in the game was higher than majority of the other players. He looked a little low on confidence and made some mistakes, but he looked liked he wanted to be out there and playing.
I think he should start with Matejovsky as they appeared to link up well together, maybe to at least create some changes.

Convey to Charlton
Charlton Athletic manager Alan Pardew is keeping tabs on Reading winger Bobby Convey. The 24 year old America who has been unable to nail down a first team spot since returning from injury has put several championship clubs on alert. Under fire Pardew is keen on trying to secure Convey on a loan move for next season and hopes he can beat rivals for his signature due to his good relationship with Reading, Convey who is is partially blind in his left eye due to optic nerve damage is keen on a loan move to get first team football is keen on a move, Watford and Fulham are also monitoring the situation closely

Fulham can have him on loan now if they agree to play championship football next season!!

Burnley and Wolves away?!

I think Convey should stay, he hasn't been given chances in the premiership like some (Oster) and even when he did he wasn't 100%.

With the chances of hunt leaving very high losing bobby would be a nightmare. He hasn't really been given a chance this year! He's got to stay!

He isn't good enough at this level, so if we stay up he has to go even if Hunt goes too.
If we go down then yes, keep him.

given that he hasn't been fit since we got promoted, I'd say he's unproven rather than shown to be not good enough.

I'd also add that as he was clearly better than Hunt when he was fit, and that Hunt has had success in the premier, it seems a rather strange conclusion to draw that Convey in better than hunt in the championship, but worse in the premier.

He is better than hunt. If we can cash in on Hunt, Convey would be ideal in the Championship.
