SPECULATION - Dean Whitehead

by friday fan » 08 Jun 2008 06:56

I know its Teamtalk but............Sunderland captain Dean Whitehead is set to make a surprise exit.

Would it be safe to bet he will be an exchange for Hunt. Now I'm waiting for the dodding

It would save him remembering to pass to the blokes in blue and white I suppose.

I suspect he would prefer Stoke as its a bit nearer his own stamping ground than Reading and they are in the Premiership

Yep he played for them(Oxford Utd) but didn't think he was from there originally...perhaps I should have one of these though  If he was then I guess it would increase our chances

Thats the second time you have caught me out you b****r ..the first time was over my accumulated bet for the Grand National.

Whitehead is from Abingdon, which has in the past caused people to think he might want to return "home" to this area. I'm not sure that he has ever expressed that desire and seems to have preferred to remain at Sunderland in recent years.
