I love these sort of stories; basically what happens is the newspaper reporter with column inches to fill scours previous stories or message boards like this one, and sees something that may have a grain of truth in it. They then report it as a fact "from reliable sources" or "from sources at the club"; this gets read by fans, who then post it back on message boards - thus making it a self perpetuating story.

This story will continue all Summer, then throughout the Winter until 1st Feb 2009 - or until Doyle and Hunt are sold to Sunderland for a combined £10M of course!!!



As for the origins of this thread - hilarious!!
