So what exactly is the problem with this lad possibly coming in ON TRIAL?

I work with an OUFC fan. His comments are similar to others already on this thread. Obubade is very, very quick....but that's about it. If he could finish he'd be playing in a much higher division - if he'd scored only half of the one-on-one opportunities he had last season he'd have been the Conference's top scorer by a country mile.

No harm in him having a trial though. I remember the young Michael Gilkes. One for the future maybe?

Exactly! It's not gonna do any harm, he might turn out to be a decent player, or he might turn out to be shite, that's the idea of a trial. It's not as if we've got much of a record of giving trialists contracts anyway!!

Absolutely no mention of him in the article on the OS regarding the squad that flew out this morning:

Can only presume that he's staying to play in the reserves games at Maidenhead and BAsingstoke then! My m8 said he was going to Sweden but oh well, must be playing for the reserves then, which wouldn't be a bad thing as he'll get more minutes on the pitch that way.

Any striker who is lighting quick should be exciting to watch, hope we sign him.

Yeah, all those 1-1's and he missed again. Great. Reminds me of Forster.

Well getting the 1-1`s is the hard part, finishing can be worked on.

Because we have time to babysit him? We're already bottle feeding Shane Long.

Three questions:

a) Is he out of contract?
b) Can you take a player 'on trial' if he's still under contract?
b) How old is the lad? (I didn't think he was that young ... )

If Oxford let him go on trial then yes, he can go on trial, but he can't just go for one, no.

Alan Partridge really inconsistant in front of goal.

Yes, like REALLY inconsistent in front of goal. Over and over again wasting chances. They go everywhere, in the car park, row Z Oxford Mail stand, just wide of the corner flag, and he's greedy, never lays it off!
Oh but he is fast. :)
