Rumour - John Bostock loan move

by LoyalRoyalFan » 03 Aug 2010 13:57

Tottenham youngster John Bostock is poised to make a loan move to the Championship with QPR and Reading leading the chase for his signature.
Bostock, 18, has struggled to make any impact at White Hart Lane following his high profile move from Crystal Palace.
The England Under-19 midfielder was regarded as one of the brightest young talents in the game but has failed to find a way into the first-team and blamed the heavy influx of foreign signings for hindering his opportunities.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is unlikely to stand in his way if he wants to go out on loan next season.
QPR boss Neil Warnock is keen to strengthen his squad and has a good relationship with the north London club after working with Adel Taarabt on a similar deal last year.
Reading are also in the market for the best young talent and Bostock is hoping to finalise his future before the new season gets underway.

Other reports seem to suggest a move to Hull is pretty much a done deal.

Screams "I need to add another name to the mix other than QPR. Who uses youth a lot at the moment? I'll chuck their name in the hat too..." to me.

Saw him a couple of times at Brentford last year - looked average at best. Also threw his toys out the pram when subbed. No thanks.

Another midfielder? Hardly likely to be under consideration to move here....

As stated in various other threads, the club won't be going for any season-long, youngster loans, as they think the players they already have are better than anything the PL clubs will loan.

Yep - would he be loaned to us? Almost certainly not, even if we did want him. But we don't, as we'd rather develop our own young players rather than other clubs'.
