rfc_prem2006 seemed a bit dull when the players were warming up aswell,

I think that had something to do with the decent selection of pies and alcohol in the concourse

Less can be said about the hot chocolate, the better...hot river water more like..

Royal Spangle you havnt been to many away games then , ive seen alot worse than that!It wasnt too bad considering our position

I've been to Sunderland, Pompey, Fulham and now City and IMO Saturday was definitely the worst performance by number 13 of the four.

I thought you were an adult.

Once again we get a posting about our support.
Man City have won every game at home this season including v Man Utd.
We have been tonked often and as yet have not won a game.
To get to the 94th minute on level terms was quite a decent achievement, and that achievement was done without great support from no.13.
I suggest that no.13 makes no difference either at home or away.
The team will win, draw or lose regardless of what no.13 does.
The sooner some of you get this into your heads the better because it might save you some angst-no.13 helps your and my enjoyment of a game but it makes no difference to what happens on the pitch IMHO.

I have just this minute had a flashback of a conversation I had with a copper at half time. He told me he was seriously impressed with the Reading fans and that we had been the most polite and trouble free fans he'd encountered all season.

'I know, fecking rubbish ennit?' I replied as I stumbled off before he realised how shit faced I was and threw me out :?

Row Z Royal The second half was better and I'd like to thank the person who started the "We're not Real Madrid" song as it made me smile. It's probably an oldy, but I'd never heard it before.

8) Your welcome

I struggle to see why people give a shit. Some bloke kept shouting abuse at those not singing which just sums up what is wrong with football. Just because you don't wish to sing at a particular time, doesn't make you any less of a fan. It's a 2 way process, the team has to give the fans something to sing about while the fans can help up the tempo of the players, particularly at home matches which is where the drummer comes in use.

Catering at Eastlands

by comeonthebiscuitmen » 26 Nov 2007 14:36

cheeseburger was very nice!
is this the catering thread? - oops , sorry

how many tickets did we sell? it wasn't sold out was it.

there were people baiting the city fans which isn't uncommon but its so stupid. one bloke spent half the game standing up and staring over at them thus missing lots of the action and standing up randomly blocking the view.

also some bloke at the end shouting to the upper tier offering some city fans outside for a fight. "oh shit we lost, er, lets get down to some casual violence before we go home" Genius

No I was sat watching Skysports.
This year I have a deal with friends from the North for my away season ticket for games further up than Birmingham.
I do shout and sing like the rest and enjoy it but just happen to believe that the importance of any input by fans is grossly exaggerated.

I have been to Portsmouth,Fulham and Man city this season and i couldn't understand why it was so quiet. Most of the people around me looked like they didn't want to be there at all.Compared with fulham which i thought was outstanding! Also thought it very strange to see the mancs standing up on either side with all the reading fans sat down.

Reading fans had been quiet for at least 10 minutes when some little kid started repeatedly screaming "your not singing anymore" A hypocrite if ever i saw one!

Fulham = Lads on the train, on the piss and standing all game.

Man City = people on the coach (alcohol free) and sitting down all game.

You do the math(s).

Scarface I think the away following is getting slightly fed up that we spend a lot of money and so far I've not seen an away game where we've actually tried to win!!!

Heh, for a moment there I thought you were talking aboout the club, as in buying players :P

I can believe the away end was so empty. Especially after the players dug deep and paid for some of the travel.

Assuming you want to sit on a supporters coach, you still have to pay for the ticket and then watch your team camp themselves on the edge of their own box and defend.

The next half decent atmosphere will be at Aston Villa in January. Once again, train + booze = good day out.
