STAR Campaigns ... They’re really keen for the atmosphere to get back to last season’s levels – and they particularly feel that a good atmosphere tomorrow would massively help their cause

Schards#2 It might help if the team gets stuck into the, admittedly superior, opposition rather than letting them play pretty much as they please a la the Arsenal game.

And the crowd is really keen to see the team playing to last seasons levels. Lets face it, what crowd won't moan and groan if they're watching a poor performance devoid of passion, commitment and skill.

Old Biscuitman One of the most pleasing aspects of last season was that Reading invariably attacked the opposition - and it worked.

I pay to watch the team and enjoy the spectacle, they don't pay me for motivating them to do their job and if I wanted to spend the afternoon singing I'd join a choir.

That may be so last season, but we didn't do much of that against Arsenal at home, we stood back and let them score 4 goals. And we did it again this season, this time only letting them score 3 goals.

Please do everything you can to make the atmosphere tomorrow an extra-special one - don't forget we are playing Liverpool, in the Premier League!

Stewards might be a problem, have they mentioned this to them?

Royal Lady We have nothing at all to lose by going at them tomorrow. If we sit back and invite them to shoot on sight, all the flipping time, then I'll be moaning, not singing their praises. HTH.

Dear Team,
You seem to forget we're Reading folk: only 8000 of us actually support you and of these around 7500 are chronic moaners, who may, if you're lucky, not boo if you win. The rest of the 20000 probably support some other Premiership club or support Premiership football in general so just turn up for the entertainment. Therefore please refrain from asking for us to make noise for you. We expect you to entertain us. We will clap politely if you beat one of the best teams in the world tomorrow.
Yours,
Number 13.
