Had a £10 ACCA on Reading, Bolton Vs Man City to draw, Ipswich and Crystal Palace, stood to win £400 but for Palace

£1 Lucky 15 on Man City, Oxford, Sheff Utd and Ipswich. That returned around £48 so not a bad day all round.

Reading are 1/7 to stay up on Paddy Power and 21/2 to get relegated on Betdaq. Unless my maths or grasp of internet betting is fundamentally wrong, a bet on both could see some kind of financial consolation if we go down, but also have your stake covered if we don't.

I'll do my usual post-match betting account.
My brother phoned me up with a tip for the Lincoln and otherwise I wouldn't have had a bet on our game.
I did:-
First goalscorer-Kitson at 7/1
and BIKEY (yes)at 43/1 on Betfair.
I also did Reading to win at half-time and full-time at 9/4.
My logic was that we would score from a set-piece with Jaidhi being a poor replacement for Taylor and would go for it from the off (thus half-time,full-time bet).
Thank you Mc Sheffrey for putting that early chance wide.
The Lincoln bet went down the pan but thanks bruv anyhow.

Today I have had a bet on a sending-off at Old Trafford and for there to be more than 6 offsides in the Chelsea game (spread bet,not SP).

Bikey bets are the ones i like VM - well done! Bet he wont be 43/1 next week.

Will stick to my 2.5+ ratio. the first 5 games in league one were 2.5+ - deffo the way to go.

I had a bet on QPR to draw 3-3 in a double with Barnet to win 5-2.

Only did it for £20

Your maths or grasp of internet betting is fundamentally wrong.

If you put a tenner on each and we stay up, you lose about £8.60 net.

I said all along: League 1, always stick to Under 2.5 goals. Definitely not '2.5+ the way to go' with League 1.

Yesterdays afternoon results show 8 out of 10 came in under 2.5....

Stick to this.

Your maths or grasp of internet betting is fundamentally wrong.

If you put a tenner on each and we stay up, you lose about £8.60 net.

You put £10 (or however much) on the 21/2 bet, and at least 7 times the amount on the 1/7 bet.

The 1/7 bet then covers (or beats if you put more on) the 21/2 bet, while the 21/2 bet brings in more than the larger stake on the 1/7 bet.

eg £70 on the 1/7 and £10 on the 21/2.

If we stay up then I win £80 (incl stake) which covers the £10 stake on the other bet.

If we go down then I win £125 (incl stake) on the 21/2 bet, and lose the £70 stake on the other.

Tax would change the amounts required a bit

what tax? They used to have tax when I worked at Ladbrokes, but that's all gone hasn't it? Certainly on-line there's no tax.

Using your example, and with no tax, you'd either win £35 (115 return less 80 outlay) or win/lose nothing, so your initial feeling is correct.

Ah, not everyone has online accounts so don't quote them, betfair are only 2.5 so i doubt Betfred will hold that 6/4 for much longer.

Either way, it's a good bet with no Ferguson or McFadden.

I wonder if it is such a good bet, Scots at home, new manager and all that.

Although the Croatian coach is randomly appearing more on our screens as a pundit and with the rumours of him breaking into the Prem as a manager he could be looking to this as a spotlight for himself....

6/4 now gone. 5/4 best high street price now.

My choice is Croatia, Draw No Bet @ 8/11

Just to clear this up....

There is a market overround of 3.72% so if you stake 100 in the correct manner (shown below) you would be guaranteed £3.72
This doesn't take into account commission paid to betdaq

(1/7) 1.14 = 90.98 returns 103.72
(21/2) 11.5 = 9.02 returns 103.73

Good call.

Regrettably though I collected from last night and it burned a hole in my pocket, even more so when I read a compelling justification of lumping on Holland to beat pitiful Austria...so that's where my cash is tonight.

Croatia one up

One all now

I'd like Miller at QPR if we could get him.

Looking at b/f it seems you could have got 90s at one point.

I imagine Victor Meldrew will be along in a minute to tell us that he lumped on.
