Royal Rother Have a cup of tea, explain to my son that it doesn't really matter all that much and that at least we'll win a lot more games next season, then scour the bookies to find the best price for us to bounce back up next season.

Sounds good. Instead of the tea a few beers ;)

RTFC Drummer Have a Disco: as I have a bet with a few of my mates at school and If Reading go down then they will have to see Reading Town FC play at scours lane next season.

I'll be doing your Mum.

Give up hope of us ever being promoted and begin to favour my second team to Reading.

I will not be buying any papers or watching Sky in the days afterward should we go down.
The last thing I want to see is a picture of some sad man/woman in a RFC top in tears.
Kids can cry, as for adults - it's pathetic!

Well said. At least we know we will have a club to support, unlike the uncertainty that has surrounded bournemouth and rotherham recently. It also means I can bet on Doyle to be the league's top goalscorer knowing that I actually have a chance of winning.

I saw the years first football pools forecast without English games on yesterday and it reminded me of pre-season friendly time, and I started looking forward to it.

When it comes down to it, it'll be really annoying to get relegated, but games are games and I don't think I'll find a the prospect of match v Middlesbrough any more exciting than a match v Coventry.

To be honest, I've accepted relegation already and I probably won't feel as bad as I did after Saturday unless scores go against us late in the game after looking like we'd survive.

Think "shit, we're relegated...wonder who we'll have first game of the season, which games are worth going away for?".

Think:" Great, Royalee, Winchester_Royal, Thou Voice et al will finnnd wiserrrr wayssss to spend there money and time on"

Think" Thanks Steve, for the trip, hope you stay around"

Go to the bar, get another beer, have a drink with some mates. Repeat for a couple, realise that I have work the next day and get some food on the way home.

Fall asleep on the sofa, wake up at 2am and go to bed. Get up for work and look forward to my trip to New York the following weekend.

Spend a really good summer at festivals etc, more than likely renew my season ticket, look forward to the fixtures coming out and come August go to our opening game of the season at Blackpool.

If we win and stay up, the above except change Blackpool for Stoke.

Such a shame. It was a good post. But staggeringly, even after underlining it, you still used the wrong version of "their".

With no British teams in the Euros the pubs will be empty of no-nothing loud twats. This is a good thing.

I shall also be watching the play-off finals, always good in their own way.

Each of the Play Off Finals is generally far more entertaining and interesting than the FA Cup Final.
