Royalshow Charlton will be the new Fulham away then.Drinking on train into london/in london /and out of london >any game up north.

Bristol City is the new Fulham. It's even on the same weekend that Fulham traditionally was.

I went to QPR- bristol city at Ashton gate last year and i literally cannot wait for this fixture. It may have be special because it was Cities first game back in the championship/London club with quite a tradition following but the atmosphere was superb. The stand the away fans are in has brilliant acoustics and the seats are really shitty meaning you are obliged to stand.Should be a good with the biscuitmen venture down there.

The 17 Bus we have 2000 tickets, sadly we will probably sell out, even at £30 for adults, seems some will never make a stand, I would love to see a boycott over prices for this match, especially as it is on the telly, would be great if we took no fans, imagine the publicity the fans and the club would get.

I seriously doubt that. I think we'll take 500-800 max. We took fewer than that to West Ham last year when it was on TV. Similar proces and similar location.

In fairness that was an early kick off on Boxing Day with no public transport available.

Wife and I will be there, but that's only because (a) neither of us have been there before, and (b) it won't cost either of us a penny on the train.

Not having to pay for travel costs brings the cost of the day down enough to allow us to go. Otherwise we'd skip it and watch on the TV.

Bit quiet on this thread, are fans actually standing up for themselves for once and refusing to pay high ticket prices?

Yep me and my mate were going to go, but then checked out the prices and thought oxf*rd that. It's on Sky aswell.

We will now be going to Ipswich for our first away game of the season.

Normaly i don't mind paying a reasonable sum for an away game that's on Sky, but £30 is rediculous.

Yep. £30 is a joke for this level, particularly for a match that's live on tv as well

I've got a mate who'd only missed 1 match home & away for 20 years, and he's decided to pick and choose away games this year due to the prices.

I'm still 17-21 so only £20 and the proximity to where I'm based atm means it was a dead cert for me. Can't imagine it's going to be packed though.

Me and my mate are going. £10 for the ticket and £15 return on the train. However, only have a couple of years left and then I'll be moaning as well. Crystal Palace also charge way over the top as well. Main Stand at CP (+probably the away prices) Adults £35 Concessions £20. Their fans must be either have a reasonable amount of money or stupid

im not going, but i remember Palace Away in 06 being £30 ticket, on telly.

In the end i went, mainly due to no travel costs, and it turned out one of the best away games of all time.

That was a Friday night though, great time for a football match.

Tony Le Mesmer I can afford a ticket, but am staying away on principal.

'greed.

The combination of having been to Charlton before, a rip-off ticket price and the fact that it's on TV means that my "away day fund" will be £50 better off at the end of the month.

'greed Trollers. First league away game I have missed through choice in time. Add to all your reasons the early K.O and Gestapo stewarding - they can feck right off.

I don't like all these "tv games'.It's sort of teasing us that we are not in the PL anymore.I want to be forgotten about by the media.

Still going regardless of the price. I am now used to meeting my mates / taking my daughter to games that i couldn't imagine intentionally missing a game now. Sucked in but so what.

Spoke to a Charlton fan yesterday who said away fans are charged £20-25 usually.

Wolves fans will be paying £25 for Charltons next home game.

So looks like Reading fans were charged more than others, i guess with us having just been relegated from the Prem.

Are we going to see more of this this season?
