readingbedding I think our 3-2 win against Middlesborough made people sit up and take notice.
Can't get a better sign of that than the 1st game of MOTD on the first game of the season.

Hunt played 7 minutes of that game. For all Reading Bedding's many faults, the man isn't an idiot.

Hunty?

He was like a modern day Andy Hughes and I loved him for it.

Killing Cech
Throwing his forehead against Gillespie's elbow
Sartorial elegance in the face of a stiff interview

I liked his goal against Birmingham in the FA Cup 4th round replay during the 2005/6 season. Nice volley.

Fair play to the West Stand fans, not even breaking someone's skull will make them get out of their seats.

CM Royal - good shout with the Spurs equaliser.

Mate. There were people on here arguing that he shouldn't even have been booked.

1871royals Its not confirmed yet hes going?
But anyway my favourite Hunty moment was this season against Preston. In the last minute we had a corner the ball boy and/or steward didnt give the ball back. Hunty jumps a couple of rows to get the ball back.

Then as the final whistle goes Hunty goes up to a well built steward and has a massive go at him. I was really impressed by Huntys desire to win.

Says on both Sky Sports and The Sun, that Reading have agreed a fee of 5m.
Either way, will properly miss him, brought alot to the team. lets hope Tabb can step up to the plate.

Good for them. But for a transfer to take place it needs BOTH the clubs and then the player to agree terms.

I'm sure he'll go, but he's not yet.

We have no option other than to "agree a fee" as long as the fee is £5M or more - that's what's written in his contract! But, as said, that doesn't mean it's a done deal by a long way.

Huntley & Palmer Kneeing Petr Cech in the head

I find it just a little sick that people are making that incident into a big joke. Just the reason that Chelsea fans hate us so much. It was an unfortunate accident not malicious, but to make such comments, and from a mod, is just a little distasteful. After all, Cech COULD have died, it was a serious injury.

Favourite Hunty (the make-weight that we acquired from Brentford) moment?

When he became post-worthy on here (if Brentford did bargains....then SHUNT was probably the best in the world)

Hunt, Hunt wherever you may be
We don't give a oxf*rd if you dropped your knee
It could have been Cech or Cudicini
You should have brought a third goalie.

Sung by many a Reading fan at the Chelsea away fixture that season. It is still funny

Indeed. The version I sang finished with the last line as follows: "next time bring a third goalie". Huntley's version just doesn't scan.

Best moment to date (he ain't going nowhere  ) running though Man Utd in the cup at Old Trafford, left 3 Man U players or more sitting on their arses.

Elland Rd, Easter 2006. 1-0 down and playing dreadfully against a fairly turgid Leeds team, Hunty came on with 20 minutes to go and was the best player on the pitch by an absolute country mile, running at defenders, harrying them into mistakes, chasing down lost causes and giving the rest of our team a much needed kick up the arse. He single handedly turned the game around. To cap it all, he popped up with 5 minutes to go to score the goal that promoted Sheffield Utd and kept us on course for 106 points. Just summed up the team at the time to see a then bit part player playing with such spirit and never say die attitude.
