Oh well, if then yes, it is perfectly feasible for 4 of our current strikers to each score 15 goals in the same season. Providing that we are playing with our current squad in the Conference.

It may have escaped your notice, but Sidwell was a midfielder and could therefore play at the same time as 2 of the strikers.

I think you may also be confusing theoretical mathmatical probability with real life and ignoring rather a lot of factors.

No, it's you who are using maths to try and evade an obvious situation !

We have had 4 players in double figures, so saying it an happen again is hardly off the wall. Manager goes 433, or a winger hits a load of goals (a la Ronaldo, Scott Murray etc) or we become Cardiff and get a penalty every game.....

Who is this cretin who has stolen Sun Tzu's log in and started posting utter dribble?

You're insanity is worse than Snowball's, or Spacey's

Are you two arguing about what would happen if Ronaldo, Torres, Rooney and Gerrard played for us?

I'm trying to avoid that particular lunacy as much as possible.

How is saying something that happened quite recently could happen again 'insane' ?

Surely to claim that there is no chance of four players hitting double figures (at whatever level) is the crazy position to take ?

I completely see that it would be unusual, but so was 106 points and 13 wins. As a theoretical situation having 4 players with a decent scoring rate is quite conceivable - would you say that in Rooney, Tevez, Ronaldo and Berbatov Man Utd have 4 players all quite capable of scoring 15 in a season ?

And I think you mean 'drivel'....

If Ronaldo, Torres, Rooney and Gerrard played for us they would get 15 each.

Not with the service we would give them they wouldn't.

Anyway, one of them would be seen as too big headed and spend the season on loan...

I was only going to select the four of them anyway....

Wasnt your prediction made before the season we got relegated from the prem though Sun Tzu?

To think we could get 4 forwards scoring 60 goals between them is a bit far fetched

I really have no idea what I said or when, although clearly if it was after our first season in the Prem I wouldn;t have been aware that we'd be relegated the following season ! I have a high hit rate with my post event predictions....

Of course !

I have no real idea why Papes and Hoops keep mentioning it - I only have their comments to go on as to what was said. I'm just flattered that they keep the original saved away somewhere....

Hardly !!!

I'm laughing at you a lot though Ian.

Can you not see that the scenario is possible ?

Even if not likely ?

And why are you so excited about it ?

because I can't believe someone who is normally fairly intelligent and rational considers it a posibility.

It's only possible in that at the start of last season it was technically possible Derby could win the Premier League.

Hoop Blah ...also, great to see Snowball back to update a stat in support of one of his claims after a bit of a break from the board when everything else he came up with was shown to be as reliable as a flying Malian winger!

Nothing to do with that. I'm just fed up with the pessimism, the lack of intelligence,
from the knee-jerking morons on this list.

Who set up the first goal yesterday with a great cross!

You seem to have overlooked the key word reliable.
Yes Kebe has created a number of our goals this season and been quite effective at times. Unfortunately at other times he's been absolutely shocking and if Snowball had a stat on Kebe's f*ck up to decent ball ration I'm sure it would be a little on the poor side.
If he were reliable his crossing and general play wouldn't be quite so inconsistent.

Kebe doesn't take corners or free-kicks but he is second highest on the assists chart

Assists/Starts

18 40 Stephen Hunt
09 36 Jimmy Kebe
05 39 Kevin Doyle
03 27 Noel Hunt
03 40 Chris Armstrong
03 40 Liam Rosenior
02 28 James Harper
02 13 Jem Karacan
02 09 Shane Long
