We had some bad attacking options towards the end of last season. In most cases, there was nobody even in the box. Whether it was tactics or not, both of the strikers would drift away onto the wings.

prostak Hunt's had how many caps? And what sort of injury crisis would be needed for him to start? I can think of 4 players Trap would choose over him, one of which is Long himself.

He's played twice, as far as I remember. Both times as a sub. I remember that he made his debut in the friendly against Poland and was almost credited for scoring the equaliser against Italy against Bari. I really don't know if he has played in the friendlies since.

Rasiak plays like a concussed Henderson with rickets. Still, he ocassionally made it onto the bench for League One Southampton so he's a shoo-in for a starting place for us.

What about the 8 or so goals he scored for Watford last season?

The prospect of a whole season watching Rasiak fumble around up front for us fills me with zero enthusiasm to be honest.

Yeah, but nothing has filled you with optimism for the last two and a half years floyd. How about I buy you a nice beer at Peterborough if you promise to be only positive for a week?

The whole year inn I actually get upset when I see Simon Church's name on the teamsheet

Well he had one decent shot on goal which Marshall tipped away...not that the linesman noticed. He also had the decency to come over and sign my sons programme before the match started...so he made a bit of an effort. Seriously he is no worse than our other striker options...its not good is it!!

Roll on january when we can sell Raziak to some poor league 2 club for about £5.50 and a packet of skittles! Ive never seen anyone so poor at timing runs and jumping for headers in my life!

Up until last night I wasn't quite sure but Rasiak's performance put any doubt out of my mind!

We undoubtedly have the worst attacking options since January 2000.

I've not been a great fan of Long but I longed (no pun intended!) for him to be on the pitch last night!

To think of all the stick Lita got for getting caught offside - Rasiak was far worse and without pace! Strong in the air? - only when supported by the body of a defender!

But over by the West Stand in the first half he must surely have been shot! The defender behind him breathed out and Rasiak slumped comotose to the floor. I didn't realise you could be penalised for halitosis!

Ok, roll call: Long suspended for 3 games, NHunt out for the forseeable, Church could only manage 45 minutes on Saturday. So by that reckoning we only have one striker fit and available for Saturday as I understand we can't recall Mooney? We were told that we couldn't possibly bring in someone on loan who was any better than what we already have.....which at the moment amounts to basically no-one.

So Floyd, you have no faith in The Bodger's World Class 4-6-0 model then? We all thought this was merely a classification of the old Pacific type steam locos - BUT NO! It is actually The Bodger's secret weapon. Playing 1 up front is obviously not working, so seeing as the strikers aren't scoring anyway, and given we donlt actually have a fit one that can last 90 mins, then hey, why bother with the useless lazy bastards!?!?!?

Traditional back four (well as traditional as The Bodger can be, with a left sided attacking midfielder at right back as the right back he did sign canlt play football).

Two defensive midfielders to protect the back four, (because they aren't good enough to defend on their own).

Two wingers (well one winger and Kebe), hairing up and down the wing to provide pin-point crosses for our two attacking midfielders to run onto from deep!

Sorted! This management lark is a piece of piss ain't it!?!? AND I've just saved The Mad Man a few bob in a new striker!

League 1 is a bummer. Do you remember it guys? Well that's where we're headed under The Bodger!!!

Surely BR can't ignore one of his most prolific scorers again. Rasiak and Mills up front next game.

Just when you thought it couldn't get worse, eh?

But... we beat Blackpool at home playing with one striker up front and Church's substitution against Derby was tactical.
