I'm not sure why Davies hasn't been involved, maybe the Newcastle game affected him - he was poor in the Barnsley cup game. I'd still like to see him given a chance though and think he'll be given it.

As for the subs, we didn't have any cover for right back and Gunnarsson has been moved there in the past, which would explain Cisse. Ingimarsson will still probably not be up to 90 minutes and we could have both centre backs injured. If Pearce got injured then we'd probably need Ingimarsson's captaining skills as Mills and O'Dea haven't really played together and might need an older head. In the same way, if O'Dea was to get injured, a pairing of Pearce and Ingimarsson would severely lack pace, so the preferred option would probably be Mills. That still left us with Karacan, who can play more advanced in midfield in addition to box-to-box, and 2 attacking players in Kebe and Hunt. I think the balance was about right - 7 players on the bench allows you to plan for every eventuality.

Not that it's got a thing to do with you but RL said I'd stop fannying about with pretty formations and go with 4-4-2 quite clearly suggesting a standard 4-4-2 rather than the 'pretty' diamond alternative. Our resident genius replied So you'd play 4-4-2 like we have in the last 2 games anyway which is clearly not what she's suggesting as we played a diamond on Saturday.

Kebe is easily our most dangerous wide player. HRK hasn't done anything to suggest he's fit to lace Jimmy's shoes of speed.

Kebe = danger v Cardiff and danger v Peterborough. Always a relief to see him come on when we're struggling to do anything going forward.
