UpNorth No sooner said....

Papers today are claiming we want him back on loan (Sun, Mail & Express).

...things just go from bad to worse if true.

Probably nicked the story off here to be fair. However, he would consider coming back AND I saw a car with the reg plate H1 5 Cox (Hi S Cox) yesterday at Loddon Bridge....I'll see what I can find out.

Ian Royal arse the size of the moon

That shouldn't necessarily be a disadvantage for a striker. Helps the centre of gravity and all that. Shane's problems are elsewhere, which is why I was dismayed to learn he'd chosen to concentrate on fitness training.

Well...he's getting a new Range Rover soon - I've found that much out. He told me before that he'd never say never to coming back - but I can't see that we, as a club, would swallow our pride and take back someone on loan, who's obviously on good money now, that we sold for a meagre £200k - we wouldn't want to pay his wages for a start.

If I was WBA and I was reading this I would be having words with Mr cox about how he feels about his career.

Denied by Rodgers post match today, which suggests one of two things.

1) He's learnt not to discuss transfer dealings in public.

2) It won't be happening.

ALOL - do you think WBA and all the other teams trawl fanzine type websites then? And I should think they know he's disappointed to only be warming the bench for the most part up there.

Wouldn't take much to suss out where things are being quoted from, the papers pick up on something, if that was from here then WBA will have contacts to ask where the info came from, pretty standard. And as this is not a members only bit they can easily find it.

Interesting that Swindon are said to be in the frame for Cox as well, also looking at WBA fans comments they are saying they need a 20 goal a season striker, dont we all!!!!

found that all in a few mins BTW

Not sure where swallowing our pride would come into it. If we'd shown him the door and told him he'd never make the grade it might be different !
And didn't we get substantially more for him than 200k ?

Brendan also said that Simon Cox can score goals at this level, really? Has he ever scored a goal at this level? No i think the answer to that is. Perhaps we're planning for next year, he can score goals in League 1.

"Can" and "Has" do not mean the same thing.

He scored a goal against Lyon - could easily say he's scored at European level in that case!
